We had a night of worship the other night. It was over-the-top, and more than amazing. The Spirit of the Lord was there. As the worshipers arose, Holy Spirit infiltrated, bringing many into his presence, into his goodness, and to truth, and into healing.  It was a night of Holy Worship, for sure.  This one is number 13 of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge.

     Life brings with it seasons.  Some are rough.  We must all come out of the rough, into the new.  Live, as if there is no tomorrow; because there may not be one.  Laugh, as if it will heal you; because it is good medicine.  Dance like you'll never stop,; because someday you may not be able to.  Do it all with your whole body, soul, and spirit.

     I painted this during worship at Emmanuel Fellowship Church yesterday.  I did something different this time.  I used my newly loved medium, oils.  I had so much fun doing this.  I just love painting as I worship.  There is something to pairing while you have your mind on the Lord...  I couldn't quite understand what he was saying in this painting until now.  It's so clear.  Scripture tell us in Matthew 7 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.  Do you see the narrow gate?  Is it the one that you will enter?  Or will you choose the wide gate that ends in destruction?  I pray that while you have time to choose, you choose the eternal, yet narrow one.

     I love to paint.  There are some that just really excite me, and some that are just more satisfying.  This one is one that stirs up such excitement in me!  I did the underpainting in acrylic about two years ago during a worship service.  I wasn't all that happy with it, and have just kind of looked at it in passing.  Yesterday, I decided to get it down and rework it.  This time I would use oils.  I've just discovered  my love for oils within the past two months after taking Nancy Medina's workshop.  My husband was a little leery of me reworking it.  I think he thought I would ruin it.  I told him that I felt like I had nothing to lose but canvas, so I began.  I painted intuitively, without a reference photo or anything.  I determined to use the paints that were left over on my palette.  I recalled some of the "rules" that Nancy imparted to me, and began to feel such excitement as the painting took shape and as I began to contemplate who the Lion of Judah is to me.  There aren't words, really.  He is my All.  He is the Beginning and the End.  He's the one that loves me and also fights for me. Do you know him?

     I painted this during worship at Emmanuel Fellowship Church, Sweetwater, TX a couple of Sunday's ago.  It was one of those days in which I had no ideas.  I was busy that morning with other ministry duties and couldn't take time to focus.  I was about to take the stage, with brush in hand and no clue.  It can be a little frightening.  I think of the musicians.  They take the stage and have practiced and practiced and have music in front of them.  They have a clue!  It's different with us artists.  I look at this tree and even right now as I'm writing the Lord revealed something to me.  I realized that this painting might have been just for me!  It is when I go out on a limb, that He always comes through!  His promises are always yes and amen for me. Why should I ever worry?   I wasn't thinking about that as I painted.  I was just thinking...what now, Lord?  What can I do next?   

   Interestingly, the sermon was on blended families in our "Family Matters" sermon series.  It spoke to my pastor, Eric vonAtzigen.  He thought it expressed the beauty of blended families.  My husband, Paul thinks it looks like a pathway into Glory.  I love prophetic art, in that it has a Godly message that can be so different and so personal to different people.

     This is number 19 of the 30 in 30 challenge.  This was an image I saw in my mind's eye as I sat in a School of the Spirit at Emmanuel Fellowship Church, Sweetwater, TX  I couldn't wait to paint it, but had to wait just over a week.  While in a waiting room for a few hours, I worked it out on my iPad, just to play with colors, and the idea.  I was so amazed that, the very  same  day my pastor ran across a logo of a similar drawing!  He emailed it to me, and I was so surprised.  The Logo was in black and white and mine was definitely in the fiery colors, but it was confirmation to me that I was indeed supposed to paint it.  I was the artist during worship today, so this is what I did.  You know, "When the Son sets you free, you are free indeed".  John 8:36.

Alcohol Ink on Yupo

      This is number 15 of the 30 in 30 challenge.   I'm sure having fun playing with these inks.  I am still dabbling with the acrylic inks also, but I think I like the alcohol best.  They dry a lot faster and you can remove ink after it is dried.  You can do the same thing with the acrylic, but it doesn't do as nice, and if you layer the colors it makes a mess.  Too pooped tonight to go into much detail.  I think tomorrow will be a detailed piece.

Little did I know when I painted this at church, that the following weekend I would experience the miracle of my son coming home!  This painting was not planned and the image of the woman worshiping just happened.  I know that composition would dictate her not being centered.  But, it wasn't planned and the miracle of God's plan was perfect.  I cannot express enough worship to God.

     This is number 8 on the 30 in 30 Day Challenge.  I painted this during worship today, at Emmanuel Fellowship Church, Sweetwater, TX.  I had no ideas when I stepped up to paint.  It was one of those times when I felt like I was going out on a limb.  I had a slight bit of an intuition for colors just as I started, and went from there.  It was really fun, because there was no striving at all.  I just stepped out, and did what I felt the urge to do, as I worshiped the King of Glory.  I decided to use only 3 colors, and this limited palette was very freeing.  I'm happy to say, that it has sold, pending the varnish coat!  I had several people come up to me, saying that it had really spoken to them.  God is good!

     I got the invitation late yesterday, to join a group of prophetic artists for a live session of worship art!  I was thrilled to get the chance to do this.  I knew it would be something new for me, and since I love to experiment, I was more than willing.  My mac book is sick and in the shop, so I had to resort to my old dinosaur to get hooked up and streaming.  Sure am glad for dinosaurs.  I was able to connect in this google hangout.  

     Each of us worshiped in our own studios, live all at the same time.  You could turn around, and see all the artists busy worshiping and making creativity happen!  It was fun!  I tried a new thing (imagine that), and used mylar sheets covered with gesso.  I've never tried that before, and found that it was really a fun surface to work on.  I used the caran's which simplified things.  As sometimes before, I get a mental picture of the portals of heaven opening with my praise.  I saw them open, and then the glory started pouring back down through the portals!

     I believe this is supported in scripture.  Thank you, Lord!  I love and appreciate the pictures that you give me....each and every one.  Thank you also for this amazing opportunity and way of connecting with fellow artists across the country.  May more doors open for more opportunities.  Amen.

     I painted this during worship one Sunday a couple of weeks ago.  It was another "experience" in which I had absolutely no idea where I would go with it.  Painting in this way, while worshiping my Lord, Jesus sure brings a level of freedom.  A freedom from performance, a freedom from thinking and planning, a freedom from expectations and outcome.  It's truly a "let go, and let God" experience.  Very fun.

     I painted this during worship today.  It was so much fun.  Several people came up to me and explained that from their seat in the sanctuary, they could see the face of Jesus.  It was very interesting, because, when I sat down, I could see a definite face.  It's odd because each person sees it in a different place.  And, up close it doesn't appear at all.  That's one thing that I love about this kind of art.  This painting SOLD before I could get it off the easel, and for a DOUBLE portion.  Yay!

Five Fold Ministry

22x30 Acrylic on Canvas, painted during worship at His Joy Ministries' Women's Conference, Snyder, TX.  last weekend.  This was amazing.  I had no idea what I was going to paint.  I took a crayon and wrote Redeemed.  You can still see the "R".  I prayed and painting, prayed and painted, just painting what I had the urge to do in the moment.  Dennis See, a prophet was speaking that night.  He interpreted the art piece, which WAS his SERMON!  The curved lines represent the arms of the Lord.  The 5 vertical red lines are the 5 fold ministry.  The Wheat is at the top, and the flame is burning the Tares and the current dead churches.  The links at the bottom represent the connection and dependence of the the 5 fold ministries, and Jesus is Redeeming it all!  Whooohoooo!  I believe this is not only a worship art piece, but also a prophetic piece.

This is a paper collage on canvas 11x14. I have a heart for worship dance, so decided to create this piece. The jewels reminded me of orbs that some people have seen . I wrote scripture and declarations all around the dancer. It was fun. It's for sale with proceeds going towards missions.
